The IUCN is meeting now -- (http://www.iucn.org/news_events/events/congress/index.cfm?uNewsID=1847).  The new RED LIST has just been published (see our own newsletter)- natural systems are in global retreat.  We need to act now to make a difference in the next 20 years.
